Offered me the position over the phone and went ghost with no proper communication whatsoever. I tried following up however no reply came back. Worth bringing it up or just let it go?. Not the best strategy either way. Senior Security Engineer was the title and I was expected to probably lead a team there. Base was fine, i would've asked for more stock and joining bonus.
Databricks is a very unprofessional company. I once had an interview with their new CMO, and when I told him that I thought data bricks would disrupt the data integration world, he suddenly cut me off and asked me to send them some samples of my work. He never followed up at all after that.
They seem to think they’ll take over the word with Spark. Won’t Beam beat them?
Let's see.
It depends. Who made the offer, when was it made, and how many times/when did you last follow up?
Maybe 4 times. Someone from HR, probably was in Google before.
Wait they offered you a position AND THEN ghosted you? Wow. Super unprofessional.
Yep.
How long has it been? Maybe you should reach out to the hiring manager instead of the recruiter? Recruiters are usually stupid
What were you asked on phone screen? Mind sharing?
