Dealing with regret

Nov 6, 2019 8 Comments

Hi Blind community,

I am currently working in a team for 3 years. Have started hating the job , bored out of my mind. Two months ago , I got an offer from a different team , I really liked the team and the role. But i was almost in the last phase of a project and had to pass that offer because of that.I felt that I had to complete the project since it was my main goal for the year. I feel stupid to have passed that offer. I am not able to get over how bad a decision I made. How can I deal with this.

Salary : 90 k base ( business analyst)

At some point , you have to forgive yourself and move on.

That being said, if you ever get an offer which sounds exciting or higher tc take it.

Humans only regret stuff they did not dop

There was a reason for it. Proactively look around and find something even better there are lots of other teams

TCS folks earn 110K these days (at least on paper) thanks to RFEs and Denials. MAGA!

  • You need to learn in life you’re replaceable. Don’t make this mistake again. Mistakes made early in career are easy to fix later.

What you did is probably a good thing for your TC. Internal transfer won’t get you a hike in your compensation- look at it that way. Move on and Try elsewhere.

Start looking around at opportunities on LinkedIn to see what is out there. This will probably be a small blip in your overall career.
