Better tech and interesting problems? Absolutely fucking not.
I started my career building machine learning classifiers for real-time {redacted}. Wide immediate and completely different use cases thrown at us all the time. All green field, all technically challenging, and all impactful (literally xD).
Went to twitter and optimized ad click throw rates by 0.01% over a years time for 3x the TC๐คข๐คฎ
Chances are most swes would be making apps for like dog sitting or something completely banal instead of like contributing to the f35 or something awesome.
I have no problem if you just want to make money, Iโm just saying thereโs two camps: those who sacrifice others for self and those who sacrifice self for others. Not everyone follows you in the first category so big Tech isnโt as appealing
Bonus - no woke big tech bs
