For India folks, husband got a offer from Delloite India as deputy manager in cyber risk advisory. This is a non tech role related to risk auditing of the Delloite clients. If someone here worked in Delloite India, can you point out any major difference between Delloite India and US? I understand Delloite US in India is simply an extension of US office, and has some quality work, whereas for Delloite India it is mainly domestic clients. Not really sure about work quality. Also, is the work culture good? How is the work life balance in these consulting firms? TC: 17.5 lakhs per annum YOE: 9
One is in India and the other in the US. Other than that, fewer holidays in the US.
Nope, Deloitte have two firms within India itself, one deloitte india which works for Indian clients, another is deloitte USI- works for US clients. Deoitte US is different from both of them, Deoitte has large number of firms each has different management but combinedly deloitte brand is used
You could have googled. There are a bunch of threads on quora. https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-Deloitte-India-and-Deloitte-US-India
Thank you for sharing that. I did some research on Google. Wanted to see if someone has a working experience in blind.
Deloitte US India, the Indian arm that supports US clients has significant work life balance issues. I have offshore team members that work around the clock, potentially up to 18+ hours a day because of the demands on them. I wouldn’t wish that kind of life on anyone. I’m surprised we keep any people in the practice.
18+ hours is way too much load. Thanks for sharing the information

WLB in consulting is a myth.
Yeah, however since he will be working at the client location as a Delloite employee, does the WLB depend on the client? Or is it still worse?
Sure, it might vary a bit, but it's generally not very good. I can't speak for how it is in India, but Big 4 consultancies in the US have significant issues with WLB. There aren't a lot of consulting folks here. For more concrete info, I suggest the r/consulting subreddit.
