I am slotted for interview, I am certified in Google Data Engineering and Cloud architecture, NOT a coder by any means. I've always had an eng team reporting to me. 20+ years of experience implementing ERPs and "was" a programmer but not anymore. Currently customer facing, panel discussions at big events etc. etc. Question is, What does technical screening involve? If I am not a coder, what are my chances ? Has anyone interviewed with Deloitte for a sol arch/manager role, and make it? ... without being hands on coder...guidance on what the interview and the job really entails?
Thanks... and after that? Will they follow through?
if you are a hot chick then make sure your cleavage is showing and you wear some make up. Since you signed away your rights to video recordings, they can review anytime.
Nope.. not the cleavage people. Getting multiple requests for Skype vdo interviews, whcih seems to be faring well, but no results or follow theoughs. TCS, HCL, Accenture...all taking vdo interviews and then declaring the conformations will be made much later, after the travel scenario is cleared. So are they hoarding resumes and profiles? Should you consent to vdo recording during interviews?
skype one to one is ok.you will be horrified if you read the T&cs and privacy policies for tools that record answers to questions. I have myself declined to go ahead for ibm, deloitte and fidelity. It is not only just recording your answers, some tools can actually so realtime analysis of your face expressions and flag(it is a glorified lie detector). Some states have banned HireVue i think for this reason.Again I could do it because I could. You should work with the recruiter, off course that will help if the recruiter knows the reason for his/her existence to start with. Indian companies are assholes, indian interviewers working for Indian companies are bigger asses. They try to put you down more.
They will probably send you a Hirevue link to record your answers on video
