Denver and Boulder residents, I am looking to move from the Bay Area to the Denver/Boulder area. Trying to understand what would be a good base salary for a single earning family to live a comfortable life? From what I looked up on LinkedIn and other websites with the salary info, they seem to have different ranges from what H1B filling data shows for the area. And even the range on H1B data shows a wide range (130k-260k). So I wanted to get a sense of what I would need to live a good life or at least what to expect if it ever comes to salary negotiation. I know comfortable and good are relative terms and means different to everyone but population averages dose all the magic. Role: Senior Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer YoE: 10 yrs #denver #boulder #salary #datascientist
Single earner for a family? You want $200k minimum for the “good life” in or around Boulder. Median home prices in boulder are north of $1M. Much more challenging to get this TC in Colorado though (Denver discount) - good luck and do report back!
Need yoe and company tier, otherwise number is meaningless
I have added yoe of experience and role that I am looking for but I don't want to restrict this to certain companies or tier in them.
