Design roles in Austin
Looking to get out of Bay Area. Austin is attractive, but seems like FANG and most big tech companies don’t put designers in Austin (just other support functions) Are FANG hiring design functions in Austin? Other large-ish (non-startup, non-agency) companies I should look at with good vibe in Austin? (IBM, Oracle, Atlassian)
By design, do you mean hardware design? RTL and Verilog stuff?

IBM, Dell, HomeAway, Indeed, Charles Schwab, Express Scripts, Home Depot (just started a team here), AT&T, Adobe, Whole Foods, Visa, PayPal, Electronic Arts, Blizzard, etc. There are a ton of places here that have UX teams. I know the team dynamics at Dell, IBM, HomeAway, Charles Schwab, Express Scripts, and PayPal are awesome. Can't really speak to the others too much though.
