Some day human beings will surely be able to harness the technology to program babies with the most desirable genetic features. Such as beautiful faces, athletic bodies, high intelligence, elimination of genetic diseases. It’ll make babies like you, but better versions.
Of course like the name suggests, it’ll come with a designer price tag.
What do you think of a future like that? Do you like it? Hate it?

Edit: for those who are concerned human beings will all look the same, I think you didn’t quite get what I meant by designer price tag. We are talking about somebody’s life ok? A fully customized baby with most desirable features will likely cost you millions in today’s dollar value.

      That is definitely not true, I'd say there will be more diversity. When people get to make their own choices they'll try to be edgy and unique as possible. Kinda like fashion, so there'll definitely be a wide range of strange humanoid creatures roaming around if that happens.

But if you look at the trend of most common plastic surgeries, and then look at places like Asia where there's a constant strive for white skin and eye surgeries, you can predict that the above trends will only be made more possible to achieve if ever genetic manipulation becomes main stream

  • It will cause major class divisions globally. It’s already been done at a certain level. A rogue doctor in China recently used crispr to make twin girls resistant to HIV. He was totally blacklisted from the international science community afterwards
