  These apps don't have any inherent value without the ability to scale. Many cloud technologies (storage, compute) are just scalable versions of standalone products. Would you say they are all copied?

The apps are easy to make. Some small team in East Europe or India could do it. The Biz Dev is where the money's at, and is harder to do.
