Didn’t get the third question onsite

Feb 5, 2019 30 Comments

I got through two coding questions during my Facebook onsite coding interview and the interviewer seemed satisfied. But then they asked me a third question with the bit of time left. I thought about it aloud a bit but didn’t get to talk through a solution. Am I fucked?

  • You are interviewing to join the burning ship as the rats jump off. Don't beat yourself up as you win by not working there, a place where employees have to buy burner phones to talk about how their jobs stink....

      goodgulf sounds salty 🧂

2 questions is fine. My guess is that the third question is to really stretch your ability, one can still pass with answering just two.

The rats jumped off as we put out the fire. Now the ship is being repaired and it’s cleaner than ever. 👌

Based on blind , there’s people who did even 3 per round and didn’t get an offer ; 2 seems to be pretty good . How many did you do per round ?

Why do you want to work here so badly? The perks, prestige, brand? If so, you're chasing the wrong things.

Facebook expects 2+ mediums per 50 minutes? Jeez. So basically you have to know the solution for medium in 5 minutes and be able to code it flawlessly in 10 minutes?
