Didn’t know people at Google had such big ego

So I’m building an enterprise healthcare product with another person and we needed google cloud pricing details for cost calculations so that we can show a hospital and get a pilot started. We email google cloud and they wanted to set up meetings to figure the pricing out. And then I get this email. I didn’t know that what you do as your full time job and someone’s status in school determined if a product is worthy or not 😂 How does this person get a job and so many others fail 😂🤦‍♀️ It’s so funny that I can’t even be offended 😂

I think you're complexed about Google. They're simply rejecting you because they don't see you as a real potential client and you're asking for white glove services.

That is fine but why didn’t they look us up before they had the first meeting 🤦‍♀️ this is like after the first meeting

That team should have done a better job at qualifying the opportunity. For some reason this wasn’t done (properly) Clearly that email isn’t the way to “reject” an opportunity. Putting that in writing is not only rude but also beyond stupid...

Is their regular price list not enough?

This is not the way to reject a client. Tell us what happens.

If this is legit it's rude and unprofessional, I would try to find this person's manager and forward this along. With that out of the way, why did you email Google about cloud pricing details. It's posted on their website. If you had a large product/service already then it would make sense, but if you're a startup without customers yet they're not going to give you preferential rates and service.

Because once it’s piloted, the application will be running 24/7 with hundreds of users, and later multiple sites. We are trying to figure out best case worst case scenarios for costs so that the lump sum we get covers everything.

Amazon Tyurjrntbt Aug 28, 2018

Hundreds of users and multiple sites is nothing for GCP or AWS. These sales people work with companies that are making billions, not individuals who are prototyping apps. I don’t see why the pricing pages wouldn’t be enough but the response is really rude, AWS is always really helpful in my support cases and I even got called by an engineering manager about one ticket and I spend a hundred a month.
