Director of Engineering vs Director of Software Engineering
I got the offer for a new position as Director of Software Engineering at a purely cloud based SaaS company. No hardware involved at all. I thought about asking to change it to Director of Engineering to keep things simple and short. Are there any reasons outside of the “looks” that should be considered to favor one over the other?

They gave a coding interview to director of engineering? Are you expected to code day to day?

"I'm a director of engineers at my friend's garage" lmao op, it's a startup nobody cares you can put whatever you want on your resume, the founder will verify it (if you can get him on the phone, 5 years after the startup fails)
