Discover Culture/Interview
Hi all, I passed the first round coding challenge from Discover Financial Services and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about what to expect from the following phone (seems like there’s an option to do wither phone or video?) and onsite interviews (for SWE with 1 YOE). Also, how’s the culture in the Chicago office vs HQ? Thanks.
Search in blind. I have seen some poor reviews earlier for DFS.
Overall good work culture. Networking is highly promoted within the company along with lateral movements. Slightly laid back so you need to push by asking for more and better projects etc. great work life balance. 606 is a nice office too with great location. I’ve heard new hires are getting better compensation packages now. I’m not a software engineer so can’t comment on specifics of the department or teams.
