How can I find success dating in NYC
Disney said in the award letter I received upon accepting their offer that I would be recommended a 20k LTIP (vests over 4 years at a 5k per year rate) when I was hired earlier this year. They instead hit me up a few months later informing me I would only be getting 10k for my LTIP. I am making 100k a year and my 401k company contribs don't kick in until a year from now. I have 2 years experience and I cant help but feel screwed by how cheap Disney is. I am considering getting the fuck out 4 months after hire. Should I do it or are these benefits reasonable for a seattle full stack web dev?
Isn’t this a breach of contract? Maybe HR letter mistake and you actually get what you signed up for? Check with HR. I can’t believe this is happening in US. Aside from this, if you can study for interview coding questions, you can easily get more than 150k in total. Disney is not that good if you don’t have kids as you would not need disney benefits.
They worded it like they would suggest 20k. I figured they would follow through, but aparently theyd rather fuck me.
Be happy they didn't ask you to train your replacements and then fire you.
That happen to you at Disney?
He is referring to famous news article about Americans training H1B only to get laid off and replaced by them. Lots of Americans were upset over this. My friend also told me Disney brought Indian VP in Seattle office who put his folks all over the places and Americans were leaving in drove. Sorry if you are an Indian but he was really upset about tis practice.
Nobody that is legit full stack actually calls themselves full stack. Are you an expert in React as well as operating system tuning and distributed systems failure mode analysis? But yes, GTFO from Disney.
Either they made that offer in a written offer letter, you signed it and you have grounds to sue them or they didn’t put it in writing and you just learned a valuable lesson. If it ain’t written, it ain’t so. That works both ways fwiw.
Or they hit 50% of plan...
I really don't understand how it's possible to accept an offer without all compensation being set in stone, but I wouldn't stay at a company that plays games with your compensation and I'd start interviewing asap
That seems Goofy.
If you mastered the full stack in 2 years I will hire you in an instant. However... let's assume you are a typical developer with 2 years of experience. In this case your comp... And associated benefits are in line.
