How much can I expect to get at Disney streaming services with 6 YOE applying for a senior role. Recruiter told me don’t offer RSU’s but LTIP’s instead, confused on how that’s different. They also mentioned 130-150k base pay for this role but didn’t mentioned how much in bonus or LTIP, is that good? Would also love to know about benefits. Particularly fertility benefits and paternity and maternity leave.
LTIP is not the same as RSUs. It stands for long term incentive program and it’s a cash bonus that vests over time. Disney’ deposits it into an investment account for you, so maybe that’s the reason Innocuous2 conflated them.
LTIP used to be awarded as LTIC (Long Term Incentive Cash). It is now awarded as RSUs in the USA. It’s still LTIC in places like China.
So OP will be getting $DIS.
Which location is this? $150K is decent if it’s in LA.
It’s a remote position. I am in Seattle
LTIP != RSU. It is not a stock share granted to you. It’s just an allocated money.
It’s not RSUs if you’re in China.
In the USA, it’s RSUs.
Just checked, you get 12 weeks off for child bonding leave. They will pay 100% of your salary for 8 weeks of that time.
The LTIP is awarded as RSUs in the USA. It used to be awarded as cash (LTIC) until last year.
Some segments have started to grant RSUs as LTIP instead of cash.
Thought it was supposed to be company wide? Of course it doesn’t count for places that aren’t tightly integrated with TWDC compensation structure like newly acquired companies (21CF, Hulu), and Pixar, etc. (Pixar employees didn’t start showing up on Rostr until this year since they had a Pixar-only version lmfao. They also have their own employee ID badges, etc.)
Yeah.. it’s a company of companies with their own micro policies!
Any traction? I’m talking to a HM soon, have similar questions.
I backed out myself from interviewing any further so didn’t get an offer. I backed out as I would need to take a maternity leave within the first year and it’s 8 weeks paid there versus I would currently get 20 weeks paid at Microsoft.
Makes sense, thanks for the update!
Fertility benefits are pretty good I have several co-workers who have used them flying across country to the fertility clinic of their choosing. Probably a cap but they did not seemed worried as an executive at Disney like myself
Yes fertility benefits are pretty good. Capped at 75000$
For which position?
LTIP = RSUs if you’re in the USA.
What compensation can I expect with 6YOE, senior role
Unsure. They’ll probably give you 20% base * 200% as an initial grant. As for bonus, I’m getting 7-9% as an associate level. Let me know when you get the final details.
