Two words: “The Mandalorian” 😎

Bundled it with ESPN+ and got Hulu out of it so not a bad deal. Downside is now youtube tv, espn+, disney+, hulux and netflix cost as much as cable

Netflix razorlab Nov 19, 2019

Just get Disney Bundle and Netflix standard. $26 bucks and call it a day.

Amazon 🍌nutmufnz Nov 19, 2019

I plan on canceling youtube tv after the superbowl. The only tv I watch are football games and some Late Night

Amazon ATVM36 Nov 19, 2019

The Mandalorean is awesome. I've been scaling way back on cable packages. Hulu+Disney+netflix+HBO go+basic digital cable is cheaper than the premium package they bait & switched me to a few years ago.

Fully convince that Netflix and Disney will both be here to stay.

Prime and Apple TV+ have their own respective competitive advantages as well. Disney following is cult-like with a century of “telling stories” and buying media companies. Netflix is an engineering powerhouse and is so far ahead from a feature and total content perspective. The value prop of Prime make it a no brainer. Apple TV+ has very little content right now, but they are in the hands of so many people that they will be a big player with their marketing and following no matter what.

Netflix alphacoder Nov 20, 2019

I doubt amazon will produce good enough content at sufficient scale. Quality is not their core competency. They usually stop at “good enough”. As for apple - they already lost the music market to Spotify, and they were much better positioned to win that one. Apple is just not good at content. So the future is with Netflix and Disney+

Disney CM23A Nov 19, 2019

I've personally enjoyed the fact much of the content is available in Dolby Vision, not just HDR10. When taken in consideration of the commitment Disney has to localization via either dubbed audio or close captioned text, I came away impressed.

Currently jumping through the hoops to get the free year of Disney+ through my Verizon account. I’m looking forward to seeing how they’ve built the user experience.

Netflix wheresthe$ Nov 19, 2019

What is Disney+?

Netflix alphacoder Nov 19, 2019

Heh 😏

Netflix razorlab Nov 19, 2019

According to my family, it’s like having your own Disneyland at home. Everyone is loving it like living in a cult. It’s always on. We use to have friends just streaming in the background. Now it’s just random Disney shows.

National Geographic ksoangxhc Nov 20, 2019

Well apparently in the first launch day 10mil people signed up, whether free or paid

Disney xoiE80 Nov 27, 2019

...and anyone that subscribed through Apple means that around 10% per month of their Disney+ subscription goes directly to Apple. Brilliant!

Disney nuro68 Nov 26, 2019

Disney sucks. They told employees that if we wanted Disney+ for free, we would have to give up our park tickets. How cheap can they get?

Amazon 🍌nutmufnz Nov 26, 2019

Lol Amazon's employee discount doesnt even cover Prime. At least you get park tickets.

Disney nuro68 Nov 27, 2019

Lmao that’s crazy

Tried Disney+, hated it and cancelled on the 3rd day. Most of the content is for kids or if you are into super hero shit. HBO + Netflix is great

Amazon 🍌nutmufnz Dec 6, 2019

Its Disney..... did you expect Rambo?

LinkedIn 0.5xEng Dec 6, 2019

I hoped the Plus in Disney+ meant it offered something more
