I hold about 550k in msft, pre plunge it was about 750k. My other investments in 401k and other stocks amount to 550 k as well.
I have a primary home already.
Given that I have 50% in msft and what happened with fb stock recently - I want
To diversify.
What are some good tax efficient options to do this ?
One thought is to buy an apartment in india - I’m not sure about the ROI for this though.
The other is to sell gradually and roll into index funds.
Any other advice ? Buy more investment properties ?

2. If you sell as soon as it vests, there is no gains to be taxed. You can invest in VOO and leave it there for 10 years. It probably won’t grow as fast as MSFT. But at least it won’t crash. MSFT might (who knew FB would crash 🤔)
It gives you an option to diversify without getting taxed, catch is that it has 7 year lockup.
