I have been looking at levels.fyi and other blind comments on TC of EM position at G, F and U. On an average, EMs make close to 500k. How reliable this information is? If you have an offer from these companies, can you ask for half a million? TC: 290k YOE: 10
You should move out of Goldman sucks
Yup. Totally agree with you. How’s Visa? Are you in NYC?
Yep, pretty normal. You can also get this in lower cost of living cities like Seattle and be ballin. 😎
I wanna 🏀 so hard 😩 mmm
Also, ICs make $500k at L6/E6 at F/B
At least
Btw, I thought GS, MS etc. paid a ton of $$$$. Doesn't wall street print money💰?
At the higher levels and if you are managing portfolios or some niche trading desks. But for all the whining about WLB in tech, the banks laugh at our easy lives. Especially in your first 10 years or so you will work every day, all hours and constantly be some senior person's b*tch. After that, you start making bank but then you probably have a portfolio of clients that you need to lose sleep over every time they start to squirm over your fees, fearing they may walk. I've worked both. West-coast tech is a cakewalk. NYC in the winter sucks.
Over the last 10 years big tech pay has overtaken investment bank front office pay by a fair amount
Levels.fyi is solid. People here do make lots of $$$. But top tier of GS makes even bigger $$$
Apple is pretty close to that
True, senior managers pull in about $600k and directors can bring in a pretty solid $1M of TC. G and F have good starting TC but A tends to have better annual RSU refreshes. TC: 400k
Yeah 500-600. You don’t need to ask, they’ll just give you an offer and may raise based on any counteroffers you may have, your interview performance, and how bad they want you. 600+ is Senior Manager at U (L6).
You guys are just joking right?
Why do you think they are joking?
Maybd adsk isn’t paying South Bay salaries?
Fairly common. Mostly EMs are L6 at F/G. L5 TC is 350-400K. Also, TC or GTFO
What would be the range of TC for EM at Google L6 and Facebook M1?
L6 = M1 = $400-$550k TC, target is $500k ish.
