Last year I interviewed onsite at Facebook, Apple, Twitch/Amazon, Netflix, YouTube/Google, Microsoft, and a some lower tier companies. I got offers from Apple, Microsoft, and a lower tier company. Accepted Microsoft, which I hate. To study I worked out of CTCI for a month or two. No Leetcode. Did a couple study sessions with friends. Iโm feeling discouraged about not passing more interviews at some companies I liked last time. Do I have a chance of getting hired at a FANG this time? I really thought CTCI was enough. Was my mistake that I didnโt Leetcode? I have 1-2 months to prep.
You got offers from Apple and Microsoft, those aren't exactly easy interviews. I worked at Apple, but was rejected by Google and MS. It's all about team and fit. Some teams at some of the companies you mentioned don't even go heavy into leetcode because managers know that you're not going to be writing prefix tries in production.... Just keep gaining experience, keep practicing, and you'll find the team that works for you.
Solve all the LC problems then go back where you started from and solve them again. Learning is golden, and gold is money. You my friend have a brain of bronze.
fb interview questions seem pretty lc heavy to me, they even gave a comprehensive list of prep materials last time I talked to them
Why do you hate your job at Msft? Location ?

CTCI is for plebs, leetcode your heart out until you can solve LC hards in under 30 min.
Hards or mediums? Hards under 30 minutes is too ambitious.
Do you want to be good enough for Microsoft, or good enough for Google?
