Duniya me Vishwaguru ka Danka
I am tired of working at small (less than 50 people) tech companies with little opportunities and narrow scopes. It seems like we are a few years from big tech companies coming to the Southeast (I hear Google is coming to Atlanta). Aside from the research triangle, who has very few openings, is my only choice to move to NY, Seattle, SF? 5 YOE with an MSE as full stack dev
Also, atlanta has some hot startups you may wanna check out
Are you highly employable there? If so I would stay. Else you will be going into a fire fight relocating to one of the areas you mentioned.
Yes I'm heavily recruited here. A recruiter from Amazon in Seattle reached out to me for sde2 for example
Atlanta has a solid and growing tech scene. For starters there's Square
We opened an office in Atlanta not that long ago.
How's your experience been so far at New Relic? Which office are you in? We use you guys btw, good stuff.
Probably one of the best paying jobs in Portland sans working at FANG companies here I would guess. Been here a few years now. Great culture, we don’t do pay bands, so everyone at a level gets the same base. Amazing snacks, monthly events to stop and hang out together. 9-5 gig where people start asking questions if you stay later than 5.
Funny that you're referring to a city as a person! Anyways, I would suggest to stay put in nearby areas like RTP, Nashville or Atlanta. Low CoL and nice weather are a couple of pros.
Google is in Atlanta right
Yes, but half are for 10+ yoe. The only one (out of only 10) that applies to me is a test engineer which I've read is hard to get out of (per Cracking the coding interview)
