I’m Sooo Happy about Biden signing TikTok ban bill today!!
I've noticed at Amazon many people with pretty decent tenure and no plans to move (lol like they would tell me I guess). Seems like the vast majority of openings are at amzn and msft that I see. Obviously, there are many satellite offices but seems like to me generally the hiring isn't as aggressive. And less interesting startups. Seems like it would be a lot more options in the bay area. Any thoughts?
People say so bad things for Amazon but I have seen many people there sticking too long
Definitely past the 2 year mark despite not liking it past 6 months..haha.
Feels like we have peaks at 2 and 4-5 years. 2 years if people don't like it, and longer if you're happy in order for more stocks to vest.
There is actually a lot of opportunity in Seattle that people just don’t think about. It’s our hidden secret
Can you elaborate on these "hidden" opportunities?
Sure. Everyone always just thinks Amazon and Microsoft. We also have Expedia, SAP, Zulily, Google, Tableau, Highspot, Salesforce, Apptio, Zipwhip, Avalera, F5, Avvo, BigFish Games, Nintendo, Zillow, Redfin. There is also Nordstrom, Costco, Epic Games. I could go on too...
Amazonions tenure is ~5 years so they get all the stocks.
I heard it’s more likely 2 years
