Do people on blind inflate their salaries
The salaries on levels.fyi seem way lower than what people mention here. Does that mean people are inflating salaries here? 225k 5 YOE in Seattle.

I think at this point, levels.fyi is more accurate than Blind, but overall I don't see a lot of discrepancy between blind and levels.fyi.

Salary is different than TC
There are multiple have you lied about TC type threads. It's split, but seems a good chunk of people aren't totally making up numbers. Many round to the nearest whatever too, so both truth and lie at once sort of
TC: $72 after subtracting monthly drug and karaoke bar habit
I think the difference is largely due to the "publishing bias". I think people with "normal" TCs don't bother posting on Blind. They just read and get depressed. The competitive, LC-obsessed high achievers with exceptional TC love to post their $$$s. It's accurate but not representative. And then there are people like me, who know their TC is unusually high and don't bother posting (1) to avoid deanonymizing themselves and (2) because it just makes people unhappy.
