I see lot of posts here saying $300k+ annual package. Is that including stocks? Are you guys developers or managers or VPs+
Yes, most engineers after 10 years or 5 years and FAANG
A good SWE who manages his career correctly will be making $300k+ in 5 years assuming they are living in a relevant area (CA, Seattle, NYC)
In my case it took a while. I am a principal, 16 yoe $480k. No stock, 320 salary and the rest bonus.
How can your bonus be so high? Why no stock? Where do you work?
Last I heard, Netflix is no stock iirc
It is real, I am close to that with the stock appreciation.
AGI this year was about $380k. Sr Pm.

What? Level 63/64 pm at Microsoft makes 380k? In Redmond?
Only HFT and hedge funds offer that
Thatās PhD new grads... Donāt trick the OP... Iāve never heard an E3 with 300k. Not even rock star return interns. But yeah, 300K is really doable within one or two years. Itās very easy and common to get promoted from 3 to 5 in like 3-4 halves at FB
L4 2.5 YOE, with stock appreciation, TC is 310k. Joined at a good time
18 yoe, 350 but without stocks itās 320 or so. Thatās a lot for such a mature company
300k tc includes stocks and itās very doable. I donāt think stock appreciation is required if you do it right. You wonāt get that salary unless you are deliberate about it, but it is realistic.
G/FB L4s with some stock appreciation make 300K
Can confirm.
