It just occurred to me that they probably do and it made me laugh.
Yes, but Gmail and @google run on the same platform. OP is asking if Yahoo employees use a Corp version of Yahoo mail vs something else like Office 365 or G-Suite / Works etc…
Omg my partner still uses Y!Mail 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Give 'em a sloppy kiss for me. :p
They use Outlook
Are there any Yahoo devs here? What do y’all even work on???
Depends on what part of the company that you're in. Our ad platforms are fairly big, there is one group that works on things that are more consumer-facing, there's a huge, well-reknown security team, and then our technical initiatives.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing. As the buyout is happening what’s changing behind the scenes?
We did do for a long time, Jeff Bonforte who ran the mail team at that time was very invested in the idea of dogfooding the product. We moved from it as part of the transition to Oath/Verizon Media.
I think most companies still use outlook
No we use gmail for corporate email. We used to use yahoo Corp mail but that was killed off a few years back when VZ bought us.
We don’t eat our own dogsh!t.
I guess not. People at Google don't use gmail for their work. They have @google email ids.
Sure, but @google.com email addresses are still Gmail with a custom domain. Square email addresses are also Gmail. Most serious companies use Gmail for email I think.
Most companies are using M365 or Exchange, not Gmail
