When a friend posts about a new job, do you immediately go check their Glassdoor salary? 😂
Usually just ask them
Just ask them...? This isn’t 1980 anymore.
1980 this used to be illegal?
You could be fired for sharing comp with coworkers. Wasn’t a protected right back then. Also, people generally think it’s taboo to share their TC, which is slowly going away with this generation.
OP, that’s how you do data analysis ? 🤨
😂
Never ever ask or discuss others salaries. It’s not ethical. It’s quite common early in our careers to discuss this because of our curiosity but you’ll learn that eventually when you cross 10 YoE some of your peers may have been promoted to partner level roles; they are usually the ones that focused only on career and money 💰 followed them behind. Only discuss problems and solutions and 💰 will follow you in this country!!
Why is it unethical? Don’t really understand who gets hurt when I share my comp with my friends...
TC?
Glassdoor compensation data sucks. I prefer levels.fyi
Levels.fyi is only for FAANG
No. Mine is so low they make more than me regardless.
No but I check on h1bdata.info
I found out that it's not right either. My company declares less than what I'm being paid, it's legal but not the other way around.
