Do you invest in industries you believe in?

They say that you should take the emotions out of investing. However, I'm not in favor of giving my money to companies who are bad for the planet (oil drilling), in business of war (weapon companies, PLTR) and depression (fb).

Am I thinking too much?

    I’m on the same page as you. And I haven’t lost much money; in fact it’s helped me focus. Invested in NIO early on, and water companies (which also did well), and clean energy has been up quite a bit too.

    Tech companies in America will beat traditional companies in zero sum game domestically.

    Internationally, Chinese companies will beat western companies in every industry where western countries do not have hundreds of years technical advantage (e.g. Zeiss will continue to make better optical systems than Chinese competitors because it is a 400 years old field, these systems are used to make the best semiconductors, but Chinese EV companies will beat American/German EV. Western EV companies have to make more luxurious EV so some of their advantages can make a difference in the product).
