Do you like the new Vanguard Mobile App?

I have a bunch of accounts (multiple 401Ks, Roth etc) in Vanguard. I used to love their mobile app and one of things I particularly liked was the ability to clearly see balance by month and what part of what was contribution, what part was dividend, what part was gain/loss and starting/ ending balance for the month. I felt like this was great to be able to see how each sub account was performing. They redesigned their app a couple months ago and while the look and feel is more modern the above view is gone and it has been frustrating me. I’ve complained via text to their support which was a blackhole. Separately, another weird thing I’ve noticed is that not all vanguard accounts seem to be created the same. One company’s vanguard 401K support seems lot nicer than another. Is this because one was an acquisition and a different company under the hood? What Bulgarian dude? And how can you use a diff app for a 401K account that sits in Vanguard?

Same here. The app from the Bulgarian dude is much better and probably more safe (supports non sms two factor).

Yes. I had fidelity early on and this is why Vanguard was a breath of fresh air.

Yeah VG def raised the bar for me too which is why I’m disappointed by this latest “upgrade”

All legacy finance apps suck even with their redesign. Fidelity and Vanguard both updated their app to look more modern and compete with Robinhoods amazing design. It was like putting lipstick on a pig - they didn’t even come close to robinhoods design.

Exactly. The part that sucks though is that VG was actually a lot more usable and they went ahead and f’d it up anyway just to make it look fresh

I’m surprised most of your accounts have been with VG. All my 401k’s were fidelity. Are in tech?

I use the mobile site now. Besides ui, the app lacks support for some transactions =/

I haven’t been able to log in to my vanguard app since the redesign. For some reason it says my password is wrong, but it works fine on desktop. I don’t need mobile access so I haven’t bothered trying to troubleshoot it but it definitely doesn’t inspire confidence.
