Does Airbnb send in people to verify the listings?

Has Airbnb started cracking down on listings that don't match description and photos? If so how? I've seen people give 5 star ratings while saying the listings and location doesn't look anything like the photo. I recently had some people visiting my rental and even though they did not book it the app sent notifications saying I received some feedback on my property. Does Airbnb entice people to visit listings and provide feedbacks?

Someone physically visited your rental just to "check it out"? 🤔

For Airbnb Plus and Lux, yes. Someone is sent out to the property, the inspections are done and tested, host is interviewed, a separate photographer is sent out for professional photos, etc. Same level of manual quality check for Airbnb experiences, maybe even more. I’m not quite sure how one qualifies to be a plus, but I do believe you had to have been an awesome host prior to applying to be considered for plus. For the rest, which is the majority of the listings, there are plans and Airbnb announced that it’ll 100% verify listings by next year. Unfortunately, I can’t spill out any details on how this will work.

We’ve already started doing verifying for regular listings too
