Does Apple have Stack Ranking or an Annual PIP Quota?
Hi, I have an offer for an Apple ICT3 software engineer position in IS&T and was wondering if Apple had stack ranking or an annual PIP Quota like Amazon. Thanks #engineering #software #swe

Employees are stack ranked, but no forced attrition. People do get bad reviews in my org but it’s not used as a vehicle to force you out - the expectation is that you will improve.
They do ask you to name the bottom 10%. If that person quits it’s labeled as unregretted attrition and you get a req back. If it’s a regretted attrition, you don’t get to fill the position.
Is it for the org? Or every manager?
how do you get the position open again? I mean if you needed the position you'll still need it if someone leaves...
Stack ranking != PIP quota. Every company stack ranks for promotions and employee value. Only a select few companies like Amazon have a set # of people to fire every year. Apple does not have this.
