Does Capitalism produce conformity?

“Conform your life to the needs of business. Study and develop skills needed by the market. ... If you make a low wage, wear this uniform; if you make a high wage then you can dress casual and end up in the same exact The North Face Mao-fleeces as everyone else on the subway. They should have known better than to have baggy pants so of course the cop shot them. .... Why don’t those humanities students get with the program? Why don’t these homeless follow the rules? Why don’t those Trans-people conform? .... Why don’t you spend your freetime on leetcode or getting six sigma certification? ... You can’t do that because if will cause an imbalance in supply and demand. You can’t vote for them, you have to be practical. Listen to the experts why don’t you! ... Let’s stand in a long line for toast or ice cream because artisan bread or unicycle-churned ice-cream is totally ‘now’!”

I feel it’s the opposite. Communism would provide clothing for everyone but it will all be same to make it more efficient.

Now, comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short. We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength; and the very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we are slaughtered with hideous cruelty. No animal in England knows the meaning of happiness or leisure after he is a year old. No animal in England is free. The life of an animal is misery and slavery: that is the plain truth.

Do you think the farmers were the heroes of that story?

The bigger corporations become the more socialistic they become internally.

The bigger corporations become, the more it is run by and for the employees? Hmm. What do you mean by “socialistic”?

Amazon Db8db4 Sep 28, 2019

Everyone becomes uniform, effort is no longer rewarded properly. You become a number and become detached from results (top tier performer? Your feature generated millions? Here's 1% higher base increase over the mid performer). The benefits are not differentiated. The internal clubs and organizations (volunteer groups) are not linked to profit. "Socialism: for and by people" is absolute myth anywhere where it actually happened. Such countries were always run by elites that accumulated vast riches compared to population.
