Does Cisco offer RSU refreshes
Are RSU refreshes common for Cisco employees or given only for specific level ? Grade 11/12 ? If given how much do they receive
As a grade 8 employee, I was offered a miserly 15k RSU refresh vesting over four years a few years ago. I left for much greener pastures shortly after. You should set your expectations based on the group you're joining. If it's an alpha project, you can expect very generous RSUs. Fixing IOS bugs on the other hand...
You meant RSUs worth 15k ? Do the other acquired companies by Cisco work independent of it. Any idea about if they are compensated differently
Oh sorry, yeah 15k worth. I thought it would be clear from the context. 500k RSU refresh for a grade 8 engineer would be quite rare within Cisco and unheard of in the part of the company I worked in.

if the acquisition was a positive one and not a fire-sale (which is most of the startups) then the employees get decent exit. But that is more due to the startup and less due to Cisco. regular employees under grade 12 get chicken shit. You will get nothing more than base plus bonus. why do you think all the engineering folks buy the Cracking the coding interview book? 😀
