Want to try working at a seed phase start up but was wondering if Google has a policy where I can leave and come back. Please don't ask me to ask manager or HR. I was that lazy and tried Momaing and didn't find anything so asking on blind...
You can. Within a year. For same level and pay.
What is it called? Wow this is great.
No reinterview needed for HC within 1 year if regrettable attrition. Team match is not guaranteed though so you'll have to go through that again
What about biases if you come back after a year? Positive (hired easily) or negative (rejected by HR) considering you've already worked at G in the past?
Positive, as long as performance reviews were good- and manager gets to leave a final rating. You already know the systems and how things work so less ramp up time. And are a known solid quantity.
You need your original team’s permission and you still need to go thru hiring committee
Does anyone have that policy? Sounds like you want to have the upside and growth of a startup but dont want to take the risk. There is no promise you would come back if the startup was successful.
Someone said they did, but couldn't find anything. Yeah what you're saying is true...
