Does Indian passport holder need Singapore visa?

Does Indian passport holder need Singapore transit visa (less than 24 hour layover). Only 1 layover for inbound and outbound flight. Anyone (Indian because Visa situation would be similar) with expired H1b travelled recently through Changi airport? Did you apply for eVisa? TC: 🥜

No - even bing can answer that for you!

Bind/Google doesn’t have clear answer on the case with expired H1b. VFTF (Visa Free Transit Facility) asks for 1 month valid US visa thats why I was asking if someone recently travelled or know someone who travelled with expired US visa but valid Indian Passport

You should work on your communication skills. Nowhere does your original post talk about direction of travel - you could be going from US to India for which your h1b doesn’t matter

If you are going to be inside the airport, then no

You don’t need a visa to be inside the airport. If you choose to go out and explore Singapore, you need a transit visa.

India passport is shit .. you need to get visa .

Cisco Halloween2 Nov 4, 2019

No visa is needed even if your stamped visa is expired As long as you stay inside airport If you want to roam around you need transit visa Singapore offers on arrival visa for 3 days

Microsoft veryLow OP Nov 4, 2019

do you mean their eVisa? I guess we just need to print some document (no need to send passport for stamping) and get the visa approval on arrival at SIN airport, right?

No just walk In. Give your passport and small form and that’s it

If you have a valid US visa stamp or Canada stamp on your passport, you don’t need a vistor visa. Spent 3 days enroute to India last month. Had an expired US stamp but valid Canada visitor visa. No questions asked..check this link https://www.ica.gov.sg/enteranddeparting/before/enteranddeparting_before_vftf

Let's say..I am Indian and I have a valid b1(USA) visa and I never went to USA then can I enter into sg for 96 hrs if I have return ticket already booked to India from sg?

Are you visiting Singapore or just transiting? If transiting and you have all the legs of the flight on the same pnr and just transiting no Singapore Visa is required irrespective of the us Visa. If you wish to leave airport then it's a different thing. Also in the above case your luggage will be checked in till your destination.

I traveled to India via Singapore in 2016 and had an expired H1B stamped visa. I had a transit of 8 hours. I had unexpired B1 visa in my older passport. Used that visa to go out of the airport. They gave 3 days permit. They have a free Singapore tour where the bus will take you around the town for a free tour for about 3 hours. So if you have unexpired US visa from US you can use this facility. If your visa is expired, you can still transit through the airport but can't go out of the airport.
