Does Instagram track your facial expression?

I was watching Instagram reels and came across a video of tribute to a fallen hero. 😢 I was in tears. I did not like, share or save it. But I did google for the name of the fallen hero to read related news. Now Instagram is constantly recommending me similar videos. How did it know about my reaction? Are they using front camera to track my facial expressions? Creepy.
