Yet another MSFT benefits question. Somewhere in the benefits website says that if you max out ESPP, i.e. contributing %15 of base, Microsoft may contribute $2500. Is this a lie? I don't see anyone mentioning it, or anywhere else in plan descriptions.
Not finding it.
That doesn't make sense as a benefit
It is a distortion of the truth. If you max out ESPP you buy ~$25k/yr in stock at a 10% discount, which saves you around $2500 over fair market value at the time of purchase. There is no other “match” than this.
Makes sense.
What? U sure you dont have hsa contribution confused with espp?
Found it in hrweb, HR tools tab, then benefits tab, scrolling down to savings and insurance.
most likely, as EatCode said, is 0.1*25000, but the wording is confusing, specially the word "additional".
If you MAX out your ESPP, which is capped at 25k, you may get an extra 2500, if u sell immediately at the price that is exactly 10% higher than your cost basis...
