I heard different answers. Anyone from netflix can confirm the current practices?
Yes, in the US every company over 11 people offers health insurance. The tech companies like Netflix have excellent benefits. If you go to their site, they wikl list all their benefits.
Just because they offer insurance doesn't mean it covers a whole lot. Many plans have crazy high deductibles (over 5k!)
True, but the big tech companies have really good benefits... According to their site, they don't have co-insurance, but deductibles have more to do with the insurer... I've worked for a few companies that would reimburse 75% of the deductiable.
Explained in detail on the company portal.
They’re required to provide insurance. It’s not great insurance. Your Base makes up for that.
It’s pretty good actually. You get to pick from more options than most companies give you. The 15k allowance means the cost is cheaper than you might think. Overall what I pay at the end of the year is comparable or less than other companies I worked for in the Bay Area.
