Does Nike hire PhDs? Engineering

I have PhD in Materials/Mechanical Engineering, with 2 yoe as a Process Engineer on semiconductors. But I’m realizing I’d really love to work for Nike in Beaverton. I’m interested in sporting goods products, and i like what i hear about the work/life balance. I feel like I’m well qualified for a job there like Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Process Engineer. But I’ve applied for all of these positions online and haven’t heard anything. I notice these job posting only require BS degrees, and I do realize I’d likely be taking a pay cut, but I’m fine with that. Any chance my PhD is hurting my chances for these jobs somehow? And/or are there other PhD level jobs there that are not currently posted? Generally, any advice on getting my applications at Nike noticed?

Why Nike? Why not FAANG?

Two major factors: 1. I’m just really interested in sporting goods. 2. I currently live in Beaverton, I like it here, and Nike is here

Are you an engineer with Nike?

Yes you are qualified and I imagine all on the threads are. Nike’s hiring process is just terrible. Also it’s never guarantee the best talents (engineering) we choose. It’s a very special place. Good luck!
