Does an employee get his Experience letter and releving letter in US after s/he moved out of company?

After an employee is layed off or fired or resigned from current company do s/he gets their Releving letter and Experience letter for the period of time that they worked for? Any thoughts!

There is no concept of experience later in USA . Most employers use a background check service and most hr just verify your start and end date if called

Thank you for clarifying on the documents. Then for Green card process as we need to submit the previous employment/experience letter how can we submit the required letter? Any suggestions

Reach out to a manager you know in the company and ask for helping in getting it signed . You can provide the format, they will provide the letterhead and their signature. It’s by law they have to provide experience letters if you have worked there but many times they ignore cause u no longer work there.

If you have an exp letter template from your immigration attorney, Fill that out and send it to your previous manager to have it signed on the company letterhead. Most people should not have any problem (they may include HR just to be free from liability before signing anything)
