Hear me out. They are trying to screw the Infosys and TCS of the world. Also fake consulting companies. Direct denial will help them discourage petitions filed by Indian consultancies and also kill the fake companies here. Should genuine candidates worry at all? I think this is only temporary.
I agree that a crackdown is needed but doing it blindly is not the right way. Also I am opposed to the person doing it to begin with.
Crackdown on the TCS types of companies is fine and badly needed .But why target people working at amazon ,google ,Msft ,(random legit company). The reality is the intent is for everyone to leave the country legit or not .
Canada can take serious advantage of this. I want to see this unfold and US will brought down to its knees if the intent is for legal immigrants to leave.
I hope so too.Canada will stand to benefit the most if they play their cards right .But the reality is the Canadian tech industry isn’t so strong .Depends on how many jobs are created in the next 5 years in Toronto /Waterloo etc
I somehow think in the long run , it might help F1 students.
What about those who came here on F1 and then suffered through all of this via H1B. COLLATERAL DAMAGE
I know, you have to stick through it.
I don’t mind suffering and moving to Canada if this does indeed clear up the rot in the system that exists right now
That's the problem Lauduchand. Canada doesn't have its version of the bay area.
That IS a problem, definitely.
How are they screwing them by suspending PP? Theirs is a numbers game, they can wait months and are totally ok with the lottery, unlike real IT companies.
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about...

Perhaps. But there will be collateral damage. No one wants to be collateral damage.
