Some of my co-workers were talking about how they thought our boss was a bad communicator because he's never been married or had kids. If a lot of people feel this way then maybe it's time to hop back on tinder just to get that career boost.
My current manager does not have children and is incredible. I had a previous manager, who was a parent, that talked to us like we were children. Some managers, childfree or not, just stink at communicating.
I've had similar experiences and I'd agree with that statement, but I'm curious how many people genuinely think that they become better at working with their employees just because they became parents.
Agree with Wayfair, being a manager helps with raising kids.
That sounds like a bunch of heteronormative bullshit.
I think it goes the other way. Managing people has helped my home life. Fortunately I haven't had to PIP any family members yet.
