Does companies go through LinkedIn profile when resume is received? Is LinkedIn profile really mandatory for top companies like Google,FB, Amazon,MS, etc
They do check if you can write correctly in English.
I don't care whether one can use English "correctly" or not. I used to. But not anymore. I've met excellent engineers who struggle with English but yet can communicate better than natives.
That’s a lame reply lol 😂 @lyftwhaat it doesn’t really matter if you know the language with no content.. but it’s always better the other way around.. I have experienced it quite well.. find out mistakes now 😛
ofc they do, what kind of question is that. hiring managers also go directly to LI profile. That’s what LI is for..
💀
They do, and I am angry that LinkedIn puts such emphasis on the user's photograph. The convention of not including them on resumes in the US has been completed subverted by LinkedIn, where you get dinged for not having a photo.
As a hiring manager I’ll read what you have on LinkedIn. Sometimes it’s better than resume for details to get to know your experience better. But no, not required. That said recruiters use it to search for candidates and I periodically use it as well to help find candidates with specific experience. Hope that helps.
I had a few recruiters find me on LinkedIn and send a connect request, but I hadn't provided my LinkedIn link when I applied directly. It's not required but some recruiters will look for you anyway.
It’s just a way for recruiters to find and message you. Beyond that LinkedIn in not used in the hiring process.
