It's the right thing to do. It's a stress time for these folks and not a lot of companies are hiring during the holidays. It's nearly impossible to find a job in 60 days.

60 days is hardly enough! The interviewing process these days is extremely lengthy, applying -> hacker rank -> recruiter calls -> tech phone screen -> final loop -> offer -> H1 filing! Really hard to find something you are happy with in just 60 days. Hope USICS extends that to 90 days or 120 days to avoid adding stress on employees and also companies!

The company that terminates 6 percent of their workforce in the good times is not going to start taking care of people in the bad times . The fact that amazon had to execute layoffs over built in headcount reduction shows that amazon cfo got it very wrong
