please evaluate my offers. Doordash - 210k base, 860k worth Rsu staff level (T6) Snowflake - 195k base, 15% bonus, 600k Rsu Sse-1(equivalent to T5) Both of them backend engineering roles. One is a consumer driven company and other a enterprise driven. One is a low margin business and other is a sticky enterprise one. Doordash potential for career growth is good and snowflake I might end up slogging for 1-2 years to be at T6 level equivalent(this is hypothetical, they might not even promote me). For me career growth is as important as money(like everyone). Snowflake might Ipo and double its marketcap and i might regret and doordash could ipo next year and get its value cut into half. Such a hard decision to make.
Snowflake is likely to be more successful in the long run imo
DoorDash could go out of business any day because of AB5. So reprice their RSUs
Will it not be the case for all companies, instacart, Uber, lyft etc
I think so. The whole gig industry might shrink to something much smaller
Op if you don’t mind, can you tell me more about your doordash interview experience? I have an upcoming interview. Your inputs might help me.
Direct message me
DMed you
Go to snowflake, ask more to see if they can increase the offer but just go there
Any specific reason? Like first hand experience vs just opinion. I see that Uber eats is doing well, so I’m assuming Doordash would also do well.
First reason is you want to. Second reason is i want you to. Third reason is you will build and learn a specific domain that they currently lead in terms of innovation and technology.
Dat ipo is coming, your stock will probably be worth a ton
Which ipo, doordash or snowflake?
Snowflake
Lol why is this posted here ?
I think you’re delusional if you think you’ll be promoted from IC5 to IC6 at Snowflake in that timeframe though, better plan to not get promoted at all. What’s the RSU amount?
Is it very hard even in 2 years?
What is the average yoe for ic6?
Oops we got confused, I was saying I was given ic3. I was thinking of getting to ic4
You can DM me to discuss this further, might be easier
So what is ic4 at snowflake? Staff or principal?
1-2 years of slogging as ic4?
YoE?
