What is the dress code at your firm? SF is known to be more lax than NYC, but business casual is still the norm right

    What IS business casual?
    Suits and sneakers?
    Jeans and sneakers?
Smart trousers, polo top, boat shoes?

    And for women?

My daily: smart jeans, polo neck jumper, blazer, shoes vary.

Business casual is basically a full suit without a tie, whereas for smart casual my understanding is you can swap out dress pants for jeans, wear sneakers, etc.

If you work for Amazon that may explain the difference. My firm is pretty lax but I usually still go business casual most days.

  • Best thing to do is always dress to the level of everyone else in the office, as obvious as that is
