I really get pissed off when Indian dudes in US ping me asking about salary range in India because they want to move back but start complaining if I tell them that it might be in a bracket of 30-50 LPA. I mean what the fuck are you expecting? The same dudes were earning like 3-6 LPA before they moved to US for MS. And now they are expecting salaries in crores just because they have "foreign returned" tag. I mean, come on, if you have a strong reason to move back, just move back. Finances will take care of themselves. Don't make this only about salary. And if it is just about salary then don't think of moving back in first place. Simple! #mondaygyaan

What is wrong with going back to India and expecting a comparable salary (atleast quality of life wise) to what we make in US ?
If you are doing the same work in India, id say 30-50 LPA is a bargain for the Employer! And you are not doing your fellow Indians (or yourself for that matter) any favors with posts like this. Nobody knows when your H1B renewal will go into RFE / reject - at which point one has no option but to move back to Indian.. and why should your employer short change you just because of a shitty immigration system that antagonizes you for being on an H1B visa - and at the same time refuses to fix the laws and policies that keep Indians in decade long green-card back logs.
