Consider font type and size and make sure the format doesn’t change when it’s printed on paper.
I keep 2 versions:
1) submitting to online systems (which follow a more monotonous format or intro, skills, experience, education)
2) marketing (Illustrator, PPT format - converted to PDF), that shows additional creativity and a story-like flow to the resume. Usually more useful for marketing/product/design jobs.

2. Put in a set of skills that are relevant (eg fault tolerant distributed systems using bla)
3. Work experience with some tech details that shows you did some important and complex stuff and did it well
4. Some cool personal projects that shows you love tech
