Hi all, I have my first onsite with a fairly large tech company (Oracle - OCI) in a week or two. I can easily do recursion problems but for some reason I struggle so hard with backtracking. It’s just something about figuring out the specifics of the incremental changes that I struggle with. I’d appreciate any resources you could point me towards as I’m pretty stressed out that this isnt sticking with me. I got asked two DP questions for an Amazon assesment and got absolutely wrecked. Actually, does OCI even ask DP problems? Lol
I like "fairly large tech .. " ☺️
Lol ya, some of us swe plebs in industries apart from tech have issues getting interviews with larger tech companies. Great work life balance tbh but niche work.
There is a channel called back to SWE on YouTube that explains backtracking really well. I used to struggle with it but now I can do backtracking problems easily in around 15 minutes. The hardest part becomes identifying that a problem has a backtracking solution.
I’ll check it out, thanks!
I love back to SWEs videos!!
