Hey guys,

About to leave Amazon and I’m curious what happens to our hsa and 401k accounts in terms of fees. Do we start paying fees? I know for 401k we can roll it over but I’m not sure what to do about my hsa if there are fees I need to pay now. Anyone go through something similar?

Edit: turns out fidelity offers a fee free hsa so I’ll transfer to that.

Rollover to next HSA, does feel like one is trapped into HSA( $5 per month for 20 years is not negligible).

When I left the federal government after 16 years I found a financial planner snd it has been beyond worth the small fees they charge. They are available for all kinds of questions... such as this... and also have helped us make moves (I went to amazon) and avoid or at least lessen our tax obligations... I would highly encourage you to look into one... HSA accounts do have an admin fee as well as the 401k you can roll a 401k into an Ira but for the love of god don’t cash it out and then move the money!!! Huge tax burden! The HSA is the same it can roll to another HSA or I believe a similar retirement account
