Don't you all like cheap transportation and food delivery? And both are with seriously much better services than anything we have ever seen in those verticals? Old-timed taxi? 2-hour delayed delivery by angry men who will spit on your food if you don't tip them well?
There are plenty of unethical and useless tech companies in town and yet no one is cheering for them to fail. At least, Uber and Lyft are not useless.

Lyft definitely has better media savvy (like with the travel ban, when Lyft publicly donated to the aclu and uber privately provided free legal support to drivers and family members directly affected).
It also had to work both ways in that women drivers should also feel safe driving a man requesting a woman driver.
The core issue is for our female rider to feel safe and get to where they want to quickly with a reasonable price. This I think can be achieved without restricting the sex of the driver
In any case, I would not put Uber logo anywhere either. The design does have lots of problems.
Investors want profit to see. FB was chopped to 19$ as well; wait U/L to settle to half to their IPO; and then over years to grow, only if they can prove the so-called revolution in mass transit can turned to be extremely high margin business. Until then keep the foul cry away!
