E4 Offer at Facebook in NYC - TC Question

Hey everyone, I recently received an offer from Facebook in the NYC office. I'm pretty excited about it, however I feel like based on everything I've read here I may be getting low-balled a tad in terms of TC. E4 - SWE Years of Experience - 9 Base 150k Bonus Target - 10% RSU - 200k Full Relocation Package + $25k in bonus expenses (can be converted to sign-on if not used). I'm wondering if the base is a bit low (I was thinking around the 160k range) and a bit more in RSU. Thoughts? I'm pretty pumped but I want to make sure I'm setup to succeed in NYC since it's a move to a big city.

What the heck is Android generalist? Is that SWE?

Yes, I updated.

I am not at FB but for 9 yoe that is a lowball

That is a good offer

It is. In SF that converts to $180k base and $250k in stock

E4 new grad hired starts base at 140k. But for 9yoe you should have made it to e5. Did you screw up the design rounds?

EA EALoLz OP Jul 29, 2019

It's possible. However what happened is I was going for a specialist role and the position was filled so they may have evaluated my skills a bit differently than what I prepared for.

If you don't have competing offers then join and try to get promoted in 1 year. Base will jump 25%+.

Stock is a bit low, about 60-100k low. Also, 9 yoe of exp should be E5. Even if you get promoted right away it’ll take a year or two for your TC to catch up since you don’t get a new grant when you get a promo. If you don’t have any competing offers then of course take this though

I do have some other offers so that should help. I'm going to ask the recruiter about E5 as well

200k over 4 yrs?

Facebook zuckssocks Jul 31, 2019

Join in the past year. E4 with 3yoe. 160k base 280k rsu I think you probably didn't do that well in interview? Or not good at negotiating?

Facebook BeingCoder Jul 31, 2019

What was your sign on?

Facebook KitKatKot Aug 1, 2019

To be fair that is the top of the range, so not everyone will get that offer
